The Day begins on the bustling Macrossan Street, in the seaside town of Port Douglas. Sample a Tropical Breakfast Bowl and start your day with a buzz. There will be the perfect photo opportunity on the summit of Island Point Road, at Flagstaff Hill Lookout. You will enjoy an exclusive to Far North Escapes tour at HookABarra Farm, which includes fish feeding, filleting, and the delicious Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Tasting Board feature delectable Sashimi, Gyoza, Battered, Grilled, and Smoked Barramundi. Yummy! Its off to Hemingways Brewery, a local and independent craft brewery operating in Far North Queensland that produces outstanding craft beer. Sip and relax, with vibrant view over the Port Douglas Marina. Lunch is served at “Salsa’s” an iconic local Restaurant, the star of Port Douglas offering a tropical dining experience. Here you will indulge in a Main of your choice, and sample one of their delicious fun and fruity Cocktails. An award-winning Restaurant featuring modern Australian cuisine, you’ll see why this is a favourite among visitors far and wide for a lazy lunch. The afternoon will be spent visiting award-winning Devils Thumb Distillery. Sit and sip, overlooking the Cane Fields that at the foothills of the Daintree Rainforest in Port Douglas – the Devils Thumb peak in the distance. Australian Cane Spirit, Wet Season and Rainforest Gin are just a few flavours to look forward to. Your final stop of the day will be at Shannonvale Tropical Fruit Winery - a boutique family-run winery producing tropical fruit wines from organic fruits grown and harvested on the property. For almost 20 years, the Woodall family have been making award winning wines from very dry wines to medium flavoured, full bodied and port-style wines, made from mango, lychee, passionfruit, lime, black sapote and other rare fruits, all expertly produced to commercial standards. All wines are single-fruit wines, not blends and the fruits, all grown organically in our orchard, have big flavours that are retained in the wine. Surrounded by lush tropical rainforest, the boutique winery is the perfect end to a day of Port Douglas Delights.
