The Day begins with a scenic drive through the dense UNESCO World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. Your Naturalist Guide will share their local knowledge of this special place, as you are guided on a delicious tour of Daintree’s Delights. Keep your eye out for Cassowaries, as you make your way to your first stop of the day.Kick start the day with an Affogato – a scoop of vanilla gelato drowned with a shot of hot espresso; enjoyed under the very tree where it was grown. Walk around the Tropical Fruit Orchard, and enjoy a sample of exotic fruit Ice Cream like you’ve never had it before, in the heart of the Oldest Rainforest in the World.Our next stop is the Daintree Fan Palm Farm, where you can take a stroll through the organic wholefoods store filled with lots of goodies you may like to souvenir as a yummy reminder of the beautiful Daintree Rainforest. Be guided along the boardwalk, a perfect photo opportunity, with a gorgeous gallery of The Giant Fan Palms. You will be treated to a 500 year old Spur Mahogany Tre, Cycads, spot a Scrub Fowl Nest and wander over the crystal clear creeks bridge.Lunch will be served at the award-winning Balinese-designed Cassowary Restaurant, secluded within the gardens of Ferntree Rainforest Lodge. Indulge in the famous “Aussie Platter”, and sample Crocodile, Emu, Kangaroo, Steak and Barramundi.Save some room for the Fruit Tasting! Filled with fresh taste sensations that are surprisingly diverse… from the rich and moreish Chocolate Pudding Fruit and the creamy Mamey Sapote, to the crunchy Breadfruit chips and zingy Carambola to the rare Pangium Edule (Footy Fruit) and yummy Durians.
