Under the canopy, torch in hand... follow your Naturalist Guide into the Night- when the Rainforest comes alive. Suitable for all ages, fitness and mobility; this guided boardwalk tour is a unique experience enjoyed rain or shine. This is a great way to see the local flora and you will be guided to spot the elusive wildlife of the Oldest Rainforest in the World. Whilst animal sightings are not guaranteed, adventurers have enjoyed bioluminescent Mushrooms, spooring mushrooms, Snails, Owls, glowing Scorpions, green-lipped Tree Frogs, Bats, Tree-Kangaroos and even sleeping Cassowarys... This is a special experience.
Our guided night walk will reveal some of the Daintree Rainforest’s hidden creatures, from an interesting array of insects, birds, Boyd’s forest dragons, bandicoots, bats, spiders and even snakes. Little has changed in the Daintree Rainforest over the last 120 million years. Man’s impact has been minimal and it’s a landscape rich with natural history, flora and fauna. A place we’re excited to share with you. Armed with a flashlight and knowledgeable guides, we set out on Dubaji Boardwalk trails to meet some of the creatures that call the UNESCO World Heritage Daintree Rainforest home. There’s no interpretive signage or pre-recorded fact sheets, just you, a torch and your very own Naturalist Guide to introduce you to the furry, feathery and scaly locals. While we can’t guarantee what you might specifically see, we commonly see and hear Frogs, Bandicoots, Boyd’s Forest Dragons, Spiders and Bioluminescent Mushrooms. If we’re lucky, we might also see a Bennett’s Tree Kangaroo or an Amethystine Python!
